Dominic Ghiglione

Dominic Ghiglione is a trombonist & educator currently based in Regina, SK. Dominic has performed with various ensembles of all genres in Canada including the Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra, Esprit Orchestra, Hannaford Silver Band, True North Brass & Regina Jazz Orchestra, amongst others. He has performed alongside many world-renowned artists including pianist Lang Lang, Canadian Brass, and trumpet player Wayne Bergeron to name a few. Dominic has also led own classical and jazz projects including a tribute to Miles Davis’ album Birth of the Cool and is a co-founder and former artistic director of the Bloor-Annex Brass Ensemble in Toronto.
A passionate educator, Dominic has also served as low brass instructor providing masterclasses and headstart band clinic sessions within Saskatchewan and Ontario institutions such as Havergal College, Upper Canada College and Toronto Waldorf School while maintaining a private studio.
Hailing from Regina Saskatchewan, Dominic most recently graduated with his Master’s in Music Performance degree from the University of Toronto in 2023, studying with Gordon Wolfe. He previously completed a Joint Bachelor’s of Music & Music Education degree in 2021 at the University of Regina with Dr. David Dick with additional studies with Joseph Alessi, Christian Lindberg & Peter Sullivan amongst others.
